Occlusal Analysis
For years, dental occlusion (the science of balancing your bite) had been largely a matter of guesswork for dentists. Articulation paper, waxes, pressure indicator paste, etc. were all dentists had to assess and balance the forces of occlusion. However, in some cases these methods are not sufficient to allow us to properly adjust your bite. They are not sensitive enough to detect simultaneous contact, and none measure both biting time and force. T-Scan II was developed to accurately measure dental biting forces. It is the only system available to quantify how balanced a patient's bite is. Evaluating occlusal forces is as simple as having you bite down on an ultra-thin sensor while the computer analyzes and displays the data. Using this incredibly accurate graphical data allows us to adjust prematurities and interferences that prevent you from having a comfortable bite.
